CV

Welcome!

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Biostatistics at The Ohio State University, advised by Dr. Patrick M. Schnell and Dr. Eben Kenah, and I work closely with Dr. Grzegorz A. Rempala.

My research primarily lies at the intersection of causal inference and infectious disease modeling. I am also interested in reinforcement learning methods for censored time-to-event outcomes, particularly in settings involving individualized treatment decision-making.

Please see the Research tab above for a more detailed description of my work.

Some of my research interests include:

  • Infectious disease modeling and surveillance
  • Causal inference
  • Reinforcement learning
  • Survival analysis

Research

My research focuses on developing statistical methods for causal inference, infectious disease transmission, and individualized decision-making in biomedical and public health studies.

Current Research Themes

  • Causal inference for infectious disease surveillance: developing counterfactual frameworks for prevalence estimation under nonrandom repeated testing, symptomatic testing, and contact tracing.
  • High-dimensional and semiparametric pairwise survival analysis: developing high-dimensional and semiparametric methods for infectious disease transmission analysis within the pairwise survival analysis framework.
  • Reinforcement learning for censored time-to-event outcomes: developing methods for individualized treatment decision-making when outcomes are censored or incompletely observed.
